This policy explains what information theapexpredators.com collects, how we use it, the choices you have, and the terms that govern the intellectual property in the Apex Predators project. Plain language, no surprises.

The short version: We collect the minimum needed to run the site and our newsletter. We use aggregate analytics to see what's popular. We never sell your data. Apex Predators is a work of comedy fiction and parody — it is not affiliated with Formula 1® or any real team.

1. Who we are

This website ("the site") is operated by Y0Labs on behalf of the World of Montezuma creative universe, which includes the Apex Predators animated racing team, the Formula FunCast, and the Apex Predator Invitational sim racing league (collectively, "we," "us," or "Apex Predators"). This policy applies to theapexpredators.com and its subpages.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

We do not ask for or store payment information on this site — there is no checkout here.

Information collected automatically

Like nearly every website, when you visit we (and our hosting and analytics providers) automatically receive certain technical information, which may include:

Content embedded from other services

The site embeds videos from YouTube using YouTube's privacy-enhanced ("no-cookie") mode, so YouTube does not set tracking cookies until you actually press play. When you play an embedded video or follow a link to YouTube, Google may collect data about you under its own policy. The site also loads live, read-only public data — race weather (Open-Meteo) and Formula One standings (Jolpica/Ergast) — and video thumbnails from YouTube's image servers. These requests do not send them any information that identifies you beyond the standard technical data any web request includes.

3. Cookies & analytics

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies:

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and most browsers let you refuse cookies entirely — though parts of embedded content may not work as a result. If we deploy a cookie-based analytics tool in regions that require it, we will present a consent choice.

4. How we use information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

5. Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us run the site, and only as needed for them to do so:

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our visitors or us. If our project is ever transferred to a new operator, information may transfer as part of that change, subject to this policy.

Our Discord server and our social media profiles are operated on third-party platforms (Discord, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X). Your activity there is governed by their privacy policies, not this one.

6. Your rights & choices

Depending on where you live (including under the EU/UK GDPR and the California CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to:

Our legal bases for processing (where GDPR applies) are your consent (e.g., newsletter sign-up), our legitimate interests (running and improving the site securely), and legal obligation. To exercise any right, contact us using the details below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

7. Data retention

We keep newsletter subscriptions until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Server and analytics logs are kept for a limited period for security and statistics, then deleted or anonymized. We keep other information only as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required by law.

8. Children's privacy

The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International visitors

We operate from the United States, and our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. If you visit from outside the U.S., you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in countries whose data-protection laws differ from your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

10. Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and we use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Intellectual property & fictional nature

Except for third-party marks noted above, all content on this site — including the characters, artwork, animation, logos, video, audio, written copy, and the site's design and code — is owned by Y0Labs / World of Montezuma or used with permission, and is protected by intellectual-property laws.
